Drive Train components
Forty years of oil, grease, road dirt....you name it..what a mess. This page is dedicated to the drive train and chassis. During the first week of October, 2007, Ray got under the truck and found every nut and bolt loose. After pressure cleaning the area, we found only one leak- the front seal of the transfer case. After getting the wrong part in twice, we located the right seal and Ray installed it. This involved dropping the drive train. The seal in question is in the part with the cable coming out of it.

Transfer case
The water pump is powered by putting the transmission into 4th gear and engaging the pump. It is taken apart here while Ray was replacing a seal.

One segment
The forward segment of the drive train rests on a jack stand during the operation.
